INDELIN... lunch... sportscom... MOA

We have our INDELIN exams scheduled for Saturdays. Not so bad. I'm sure not to get a 100 but hopefully, I still pass. After the test, I went to L334. Just to check if they had class. David texted me last night if I was interested in a swim today and with the heat, why wouldn't I? Good thing we didn't have indelab today. After lunch, we waited off a bit at engwalk. Which kind of got extended. Not that I mind. There were quite a few funny scenes.

First off, we played a few games. Mario kart was up first. But cooking mama was just as fun. Oh yeah. Read: HILARIOUS. Actually got Will into blowing into the mic. Not that it wasn't noisy enough to leave out anyway. =)

Before shoving off to the complex, there was one other interesting game. Brain Age. There was this short mini-game that called for you to read the color of the word. No one said this had to be played in a quiet place. The guys were yelling BLUE all over the place. Did anyone notice the guy walking by staring like a O_O at us? Hehe. No matter. Like he cares.

The water was cold. But given the weather, I don't mind. There were just four of us in the pool. Me, Rox, David and Chard. Will and Leo stayed on the second floor playing. We stayed for about an hour. Then we went up to see how the games were going.

After that, I went to MOA to attend mass. I saw quite a few things there today. The fireworks were different (YAY!) then there were a few exhibits including a Canon booth (got a few items) and some others. I would have gotten a picture if someone was with me (or if there was anything significant to take a picture with) but I already have my cam for camwhoring.

Cloud of Promise for 2008

The design for the 2008 Olympic torch has been recently unveiled by the organizing committee and of the designs sent in from different sources, China-based Lenovo known for producing notebooks in particular the thinkPads, got the cake. The design is basically called the Cloud of Promise and sports a red-themed design with cloud swirls on the upper half (as best as I can describe it).

According to the article posted on the Lenovo website (click on the title to view it), the inspiration for the design was the traditional Chinese scroll.

What I think is a nice thing to this design is that the design effort was also a collaborative task done by people around the world.

Personally, I think it looks nice. Not too flashy, not dull either.

trouble focusing these collegiate years?

If you happen to be one of the few people in the world who have no trouble getting excellent grades, then good for you. As for the rest of the world, getting good grades is a balance of work, play and brainpower. Not everyone has the brainpower to grasp academic courses like a baby grasps a bottle. Or the way a bird takes flight. For those who have problems focusing, this is an interesting link. Etips for A grades provides some useful tips when you start to get lost in the abyss of learning. Maybe going back to the fundamentals and re-remembering that college is different can help.
